Me no like!
Seems they changed the comment system on LJ...used to be that when a new comment was added, the link would change to the 'unvisited' color. Now it's not. This makes me sad, cause the way I knew if there were more comments was by scanning down my friends list for unvisited comment links.

User expect you fix.

Heehee
And here I didn't even notice a change because I custom-coloured all my links to be the same colour wether I'd followed them already or not.

Awksquawk! No wonder the 'comments' like always remained in the colour of 'being visited'. I was curious about that.

Lanakila squawks softly and snuggles the bitchy fennecy.

Silly Roho! :>

Well, I dug through the LJ change history, and this seems to be a pretty big hotbutton now. Apparently, they removed the nc=x part from the URL, since some people didn't like how it made links for comments inconsistent. Now it sounds like they've got a workaround planned, where it'll be a user-option. So, hopefully should get it back soon!

I fix
Or, rather, I steal someone else's fix. Go to 'Modify Journal' under 'Your Settings'. Scroll all the way down to the rather obscure Style Overrides section, and paste the following bit of code into into it.

FRIENDS_TALK_READLINK=>%%messagecount%% comment%%mc-plural-s%% |

As you see, it ads the nc=x bit back in. That should do it, until someone implements a workaround in the LJ codebase. At which time you should probably remove the override. :)
