Got everything done yesterday except for the tires on my car, decided to wait til it's *not* 90 degrees out (later this week). Also got the screen door oiled and re-mounted, which should help in wasp-free air circulation.

Thought of one more blessed thing that the new apartment has this morning. It has its own water heater. This means I won't have a repeat of this morning, where someone does something in another apartment, and with a *thunk* of the water pressure changing, I'm standing in a spray of liquid ice.

Tried the Skinny Cows recommended by gen, cause I found the ice cream sammiches at Dominicks finally...and was quite pleasantly surprised. Definitely a good way to kill cravings for sweets in the goal to eat healthier! Currently at (according to the scale) around 141 pounds, and 15% bodyfat (at a height of 5'8"). I think my goal will be around 137 and 12%, given that I have a very light frame, so to speak.

Something good: Having our own washer/dryer. I can't believe how pathetically excited I am about this ;P

Something bad: Getting unintelligible cell phone wrong number calls at 11 at night.

Something disturbing: Jack. I started reading it last week at feren's recommendation, and finished last night. It's...interesting. Causes a great many different emotions.

Washers, Dryers, and Jack
No, I don't think it's pathetic to be excited over having one's own washer and dryer. When we moved to the house, it was the first set of appliances we bought together. I still marvel over the increased cleanliness of the clothing as well as knowing exactly what has been in the dryer and who it belonged to.

I've read Jack...it sorta grows on you. At first, I didn't know whether to be offended or depressed and then I got involved with the story line. It gets better as it goes on.

Re: Jack Bad!
Yeah, it tends to have that reaction :P Maybe that's why I like it; you have to really work to illicit an emotional response from me in things furry.

I'm odd....if there's a sore I have to poke and prod it to see what's underneath and why it hurts. So I still read.

Re: Jack Bad!
Yeah, that's pretty much how I feel about it. I love the comic because it evokes such an emotional response, even if it isn't a good one.

Glad you like the skinny cows! They don't taste the slightest bit like a low-cal food, do they?

I've been an avid reader of Jack for awhile. I really like it, but I've always loved stories about morality and redemption and things like that.
