Catching the meme
Well, thanks to Feren, I've got a LiveJournal account. I'm undecided as to whether I plan to chronicle my (rather boring and pointless) daily life, vent my spleen, or just use the account to post on others' accounts.

For now, I've decided to take a relaxed attitude to it. I'll put down any thoughts I have in the evening, if any. I am also going to try to name at least one thing I saw this day that was good, one that was bad, and one that was disturbing. This shouldn't be too hard.

Something good: The Family Guy is coming back. I don't care what others say, I was amused by this show.

Something bad: Compact SUV now seems to be part of the national vocabulary. I actually had an acquaintence refer to one in casual conversation.

Something disturbing: That commercial where the bellybuttons sing. If you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about!
Current Mood: relaxedrelaxed
Current Music: Veteran of the Psychic Wars

What the hell is a "compact" SUV? It sounds like a complete oxymoron to me... something on the order of "military intelligence" or "Microsoft Works."

Re: Question?
Jen has it right; they're the miniature SUVs. If you look through poseur.4x4.org, and find the 'Cute-Utes' category, pretty much everything in there is now classified in the marketplace as a 'Compact SUV'. And yes, as Jen said, they are thoroughly useless vehicles. Top heavy like an SUV, with the offroad capabilities of a Chevette.

Singing bellybuttons? Disturbing? Where would you get that idea? (Heck, yeah!)

Funny, nobody's seen the Levi commercial my mother swears she saw-- a guy in cordoroys walking through a forest making little shoop-shoop cordoroy noises, and a badger sticks its head out of its hole, then starts going shoop-shoop and chasing the guy in this really amorous fashion....

Never saw it. Can't vouch for it. But she insists it happened. Levi has weird commercials.
