For the Rickman fans out there  
Something the Lord Made premieres this Sunday on HBO.

In other news, life is good, work is busy, Civ III PTW is fun, beer is tasty, and 3-day weekends are much needed!

Something good: Having a cell phone that can actually sync.

Something bad: Friends and loved ones whose bosses can't understand the old adage, "Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Something disturbing: Pretty much anything on the vcl_horrors. Don't look too soon after eating.

Mann..I was shown that group just the other week for the first time. It wasn't the poor quality of most of the images that disturbed me, but the horrific content. I have never seen so many bizarre sexual fantasies and fetishes in my life. After viewing for a while I came to the conclusion that this fandom may truly deserve every bit of derision from the media and others.

Yeah, I don't particularly consider beginner art a horror either...granted, pinning your very first attempts at art on the fridge door of the world is a little silly, but it's not horrible. But the actual horrors...wow. Words fail me. Those images are what prompted me to create the icon shown here :P

What really bugs me is how they try to use shock to make up for talent. Oh, and how so many of them try to call themselves artists? Please--an artist understands technique, media, application, theory, composition, and so much more than the random scribbles they poorly color in.

It's become easier for me to just filter out the people I do want to see since there are so many joining who are consistently bad.
